Apply Brand Kit text styles from the Edit panel
Keep your designs on-brand by applying your Brand Kit font styles directly from the Edit panel. With one click, you can update headings, subheadings, and body text to match your brand fonts, whether you're starting a new design or updating an existing one
Before you begin
- This feature is available to users on Canva Free, Canva Pro, Canva Business, or Canva Enterprise who have at least one Brand Kit.
- Your Brand Kit must have text styles configured (heading, subheading, and body font styles).
- The Edit panel is not supported on responsive doc types (e.g., Canva Docs). It's available for standard design types like presentations, social media posts, posters, and more..
Apply Brand Kit text styles to your design
- Open or create a design
- Select the Edit panel from the editor toolbar.
- Under your Brand Kit styles, you'll see your configured text styles (heading, subheading, body).
- Click a text style tile to apply it:
- To an empty design: The Brand Kit fonts will be applied to the current page, adding placeholder text elements styled with your brand fonts.
- To a design with existing text: The fonts of your existing text elements will be updated to match your Brand Kit text styles.
Apply text styles to all pages
You can apply your Brand Kit text styles across all pages at once:
- Designs with existing text: Clicking "Apply to all pages" will update the font styles on every page of your design.
- Empty designs: Applying to an empty design will only add styled text to the current page. This is consistent with how other style applications work in the Edit panel.
Things to know
- The Edit panel supports heading, subheading, and body text styles from your Brand Kit.
- If your Brand Kit text styles use custom names, those names will be reflected in the Edit panel.
- You can apply both colour themes and Brand Kit fonts together from the Edit panel to fully style your design in one go.
