Edit element timing in your video

You can control exactly when text, images, and other elements appear in your video. Perfect for matching elements to music, staggering animations for visual interest, or timing captions so viewers can read them comfortably.

Element timing controls when items appear in your video. Animation speed and duration (intro/outro) are adjusted in the Animate panel. For select animations, you can choose a speed preset (Slow, Medium, Fast) or set precise intro/outro durations.

Edit element timing

  1. Create or open your video design.
  2. Select
Pages to show thumbnails. On mobile, this is the default view.
  3. Select the page where the element you need to edit is located.
  4. Hover over an element’s edge to show the trim handles, then drag them left or right to adjust when the element appears.
  5. To exit the timeline, select Exit video to return to the thumbnail view.

Grouped elements appear on a single layer and can be edited together.

To edit individual elements within a group, select the group first, then select the element.
