Embed media and links on designs
Embed media from different sources directly from the editor.
Embedding refers to the integration of links, images, videos, gifs, and other content into social media posts or other web media.
For Media Embeds
- Create or open an existing design.
- From the editor side panel, select Apps.
- Type Embeds in the search bar to locate Embeds.
- Select the app for the media you want to embed.
- Paste the web link of the media you wish to add.
- To find the web link, go to the website you'd wish to get a media link from and copy the link.
6. Click Add to design to embed it in your design.
For Embed Links - Publishing Canva designs by using Canva HTML codes or smart embed links and adding them to supported external websites.
Embed custom pages and link to a single page
Users will be able to select exactly which pages they want to show in an embedded Canva presentation and directly embed a single page of a presentation.
- Any changes in the original design will be reflected in the newly created embed.
- To prevent viewing issues, ensure the sharing permissions are correct.
Link to a single page
Copy a single-page ID link and paste it to a preferred page in your presentation.
- On the page thumbnail, select , then select Copy link to this page.
- Go to the page where you’d like to embed the single-page ID link.
- Right-click, then select Paste.
Embed specific pages
- Copy the URL link of the presentation you’d like to embed.
- Then, paste it on your new presentation or document.
- To select the specific pages to show, click on the pencil icon.
- From the Pages shown dropdown, select the pages you want to include in the document or presentation.
- Select Done.

- Dropbox - your saved media files
- Embeds - select for more media options
- Emoji - emojis
- Facebook - Facebook photos
- Giphy - GIF images
- Google Maps - interactive map
- Instagram - Instagram images
- QR Code - custom QR code
- YouTube - YouTube videos
