Filter data in Canva Sheets
You can filter data in Canva Sheets to focus on specific information without scrolling through your entire spreadsheet. Filters are private by default, so your view won't affect what your collaborators see.
Create a filter
You can create a filter using the toolbar or the right-click menu.
Using the toolbar:
- Select the cells or columns you want to filter.
- Select Filter in the toolbar.
- Choose the values you want to filter by from the menu.
Using right-click:
- Select a range of cells or columns.
- Right-click and select Create a filter.
Apply filters to your data
- Select Sort A–Z or Sort Z–A to reorder the rows.
- Use the search box to find specific values.
- Select or clear values to filter.
- Select OK.
Remove filters
You can remove filters in two ways:
- Select the Filter icon, then select Clear filter.
- Right-click the table, then select Clear filter.
Limitations
- Filters are private by default. Only you can see your filtered view. Collaborators see the data without filters applied.
- Charts don't update when you apply filters. You can manually adjust your chart's data range instead.
- Filter by conditions (like "greater than" or date ranges) isn't available yet.
- An option to share filters with collaborators is coming in a future update.
