Change table borders, colors, and size
Easily customize your tables in Canva. Change the border color, border weight, make cells a uniform size, or resize them to follow their content.
Edit table borders
- Select the table.
- On the editor toolbar, select Border.
- Select which borders of the table you want to edit.
- To change the border color, select the color tile, and select from the options.
- To change the thickness, select Border style icon and move the slider left or right.
Change cell color fill
- Click to select the cell that you want to edit. To select multiple cells, hold Cmd (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) on your keyboard.
- On the toolbar above the editor, click on the color tile (usually the first toolbar option).
- Select a new color from the options, or click the rainbow plus icon to pick a custom color. You can also use gradients.
Resize rows and columns
We don’t currently support Size columns equally and Size to content options for tables in Docs.
Rows
- Select table and then, select the More icon that appears.
- To make all rows a uniform height, select Size rows equally.
- To adjust row size to fit their content, select Size rows to content.
Columns
- Select the table and then, select the More icon that appears.
- To make all columns a uniform width, select Size columns equally.
- To adjust column size to fit their content, select Size columns to content.
