Import Google Analytics data into Canva
Easily bring Google Analytics data into Canva Sheets to track website traffic, user behavior, and key performance metrics in one place. This app allows you to visualize data, automate reports, and collaborate seamlessly without switching between tools.
This feature is only available on Canva Business and Canva Enterprise.
Connect Google Analytics data to Canva
- Open a Canva Sheets design.
- In the floating toolbar, click Actions, then select Import data.
- Choose Google Analytics from the available data sources.
- Sign in with your Google account and grant Canva the necessary permissions.
- Select the Google Analytics account and property you want to connect.
- Click Next to proceed to data selection.
Note: Ensure you have the necessary Google Analytics permissions to access and import data.
Import and use Google Analytics data
Once connected, you can choose the specific datasets to work with.
Step 1: Select data to import
- Choose the date range from the preset options, then set a custom start and end date if needed.
- Select the metrics you want to analyze, then choose the dimension to structure how the data is grouped.
- If you want to retrieve more data, toggle the option to import up to 100 rows (maximum).
- Click Load data to preview your selections.
- Click Done to import the data. Your dataset will appear in Canva and can be used in Charts, Sheets, or Bulk Create.
You can also sort columns, add formulas, or create new fields—depending on where you're working.

Can I refresh my Google Analytics data in Canva Sheets?
Yes! Select Edit data, then Refresh to update your data in real-time.
Do I need admin access to connect to Google Analytics?
You’ll need the correct permissions to let Canva access your analytics data. Check with your Google Analytics admin if you're unsure.
Can my team see my Google Analytics data in Canva Sheets?
Yes, if they have access to the Canva design. They don’t need a Google Analytics account to view it.
Will edits or updates made to my imported Google Analytics data reflect back in Google Analytics?
No, any changes you make in Canva won’t affect your data in Google Analytics. It’s a one-way sync. Your data comes into Canva, but it doesn’t go back.
