Join classes

You can join a class in Canva Education to collaborate with your teacher and classmates.

You can:

• Accept an invitation from your teacher
• Request to join your school team

When your teacher invites you to a class, you'll receive an email invitation.

1. Open the invitation email from Canva.
2. Select Join the class.
3. Select Sign up to create a Canva account if you don't have one. You can use your email, Google Classroom, or Clever.

Once you accept the invitation, you’ll be added to the class.

Check your spam or junk folder. If you still can't find it, ask your teacher to resend the invitation. You can also request to join your school team using your school email address.

If you don't have an invitation, you can request to join your school team.

1. Go to canva.com and select Sign up.
2. Enter your school email address.
3. Select your school from the list of matching schools.
4. Wait for your school admin to accept your request.

After your school administrator approves your request, you can join classes shared with your team.

Tip: Use your school email address to make it easier to find your school.

If you're under 13, your parent or guardian needs to give consent before you use Canva Education. This follows privacy laws like the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), a US law that protects the online privacy of children under 13, and our Privacy Policy.

You can use this sample consent template to get started.

Yes. You can link one account from another service (such as Google Classroom or Clever). If you previously had multiple accounts linked, you can keep them. If you remove a linked account, you can only add one again. 

Yes. You can join multiple classes within your school team. Each teacher can invite you to their class separately.
