Manage your offline designs, free up space on your device, and keep offline editing running smoothly.
Understand offline storage
- Offline designs are saved on your device and stored per device
- You can work offline for up to 7 days before reconnecting
- Your changes are saved locally and sync when you reconnect
- We recommend keeping at least 2 GB of free space for offline editing
Free up space on your device
If you’re running low on storage, you can remove offline designs without deleting them from your Canva account.
Remove individual designs
- Go to canva.com/offline-designs.
- Select ⋯ More on the design you want to remove.
- Select Remove offline availability.
Remove all offline designs
- Go to Settings from your profile menu.
- Select Data and storage, then select Offline.
- Choose one of the following:
- Remove offline designs - removes all offline designs from your device.
- Delete all offline data - removes all offline designs and content from your device. It also removes other files Canva saves to help offline features work.
Removing offline access doesn't delete your designs, they'll still be saved to your Canva account online.

Fix storage issues
If Canva can’t save your changes while offline, your device may be low on storage.
- Delete large files or unused apps from your device
- Remove offline designs you don’t need
- Check your device storage settings for recommendations
Common offline scenarios
Online-only content doesn’t load while offline
What can cause this
Videos and embedded content require an internet connection and won’t load while offline.
What to do
- Reconnect to the internet to load these elements.
- Avoid adding video or embedded content while offline.
Large designs take longer to prepare or sync
What can cause this
Large or complex designs take longer to enable for offline use and may take more time to sync after reconnecting.
What to do
- Use a stable internet connection when enabling offline access or reconnecting.
- Keep Canva open until setup or syncing is complete.
Offline changes aren’t syncing after reconnecting
What can cause this
Syncing may fail after working offline if your connection is unstable when you reconnect, or if Canva is closed before syncing completes.
What to do
- Keep Canva open until you see All changes synced.
- Make sure you’re connected to a stable internet connection.
- Check service status at status.canva.com.
