Use page transitions
Apply page transitions in presentations and videos to elevate your designs. Except in Docs, you can add transitions in any designs you create in Canva.

Select transitions
- If you’re not on the thumbnail view, switch to it by selecting the Pages button at the bottom of the editor. Depending on the current state, the tooltip shows Show page thumbnails or Hide page thumbnail.
- Hover your mouse over a page thumbnail at the bottom of the editor, and select More or hover between page thumbnails.
- Select Add transition.
- Hover over a transition to preview it.
- Select a transition to apply it. Depending on which one you choose, more transition options will appear in the side panel.
- Use the Duration (seconds) slider to adjust the transition duration, or enter a value in the number field. Duration ranges from 0.1 to 2.5 seconds.
- Select the direction of your transition. These options depend on the transition style you select.
Change transitions
Click or tap the icon between the design pages that you want to update. The icon will differ depending on the transition that you applied.
You can download your designs as videos or GIFs.
You can also directly share them on social media, or schedule them for later.
