Easily present your reports, pitch decks, and more.
You can interact with 3D elements on published websites. For more details, see 3D Elements.
Present your design
- Select Present from the top menu. If you don’t see this option, select Share first, and then look for the Present.
- Select the dropdown beside the Present icon to choose a different presentation type. Learn more about the different presentation modes.
To exit presentation mode, press ESC on your keyboard or click Exit full screen on the bottom corner of the screen.
Use responsive presentation templates to present decks and presentations both on mobile devices and on bigger screens.
Use the left and right arrows to change slides.
You can also add an interactive layer to your presentations by setting up Canva Live. Canva Live lets your audience ask you questions while you present.
Live edits during a presentation
While presenting, edits made in the editor are shown in real-time. The presentation will refresh each time an edit is made while still showing the slide you left off.
To disable this, here's how to:
- Select More.
- Select Hide live edits to disable showing real-time edits.
While presenting, click the Go to page button in the bottom left corner and type the slide number you want to present.

- Windows: Alt + Ctrl + G
Draw in present mode
You can access the Draw tool in both full-screen and presenter views to emphasize key points and better engage your audience.
Note: When in presentation mode, drawing strokes added for marking up are temporary. They won’t be saved when you exit presentation mode or close the window.
- In presenter view or present mode, access the Draw tool by clicking the Draw on page button.
- Select your preferred pen style: Pen, Marker, or Highlighter.
- Change the pen color by clicking the color tile.
- Use your mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen to draw directly on your slide to emphasize key points or add annotations.
- To erase your drawings, select the Eraser tool.
- When finished, go to the Draw on page again to exit the tool.
Magic Shortcuts™
When presenting, press the following keys on your keyboard for fun animations.
This service is currently only available when presenting on a computer.
- Letter B to blur the current slide
- Letter C for confetti rain
- Letter D for a drumroll animation
- Letter M for a mic drop animation
- Letter O for floating bubbles
- Letter Q for quiet
- Letter U for a curtain call animation
- Any number (0-9) for a timer (1 for one minute, 2 for two minutes, etc.)
Press Shift + / or ? to open the Magic Shortcuts™ menu.
Timer
Press any number on the keyboard to add a timer when you present: 1 for one minute, 2 for two minutes, and so on.
Timer with Music
Play music while using a timer
This feature is currently only available on a computer.
After pressing any number for a timer, hover your cursor over the timer for the options to pop up.
- Click Music to select music. Choose between Focus, Dramatic, Upbeat, or Energetic.
- Click Volume to adjust the volume.
- Click Minimize to minimize the timer.
Turn off Live sync
Below are step-by-step instructions on how to disable or enable this feature.
- Open the presentation design.
- Select the dropdown beside the Present or select Share, then select Present and choose any presentation mode:
- Present fullscreen
- Presenter View
- Present and record
- Autoplay
- In the presentation window, select More, then choose Hide live edits or Show live edits.
Remote Control
Allow multiple presenters to control slides in real-time with Remote Control.
Set up a remote session
- On the editor, select Present or select Share, then select Present and look for the Present option.
- Select Present.
- Select the More icon.
- Select Share remote control.
- To give control to other presenters, scan the QR code or select Copy link. A shareable link will be copied to your clipboard, which you can share with the presenters.
- To pause or resume other presenters’ control, select Pause controls or Resume.
Tip: Set up a remote session before you begin your presentation to give other presenters time to connect.
Use the Remote Control
- Open or paste the share link into a browser on any device.
- Use the left and right arrows to change slides.
Make sure the status says Connected to control the slides.

You can now see your presenter notes when you use Remote Control to present a design.
Access presenter notes
- Sign in to your Canva account to access presenter notes.
- Your account must have permission to view the design being presented.
- If someone else is presenting, the design owner must give you view permission through the Share menu.
- If the design is shared at the team level, you might need to switch teams to access the design.
What happens if you’re signed out?
- If you open Remote Control without signing in, the Notes panel will show a message with a button to log in.
- You don’t have to sign in to control slide navigation or use the Shortcuts tab.
- You only need to sign in to view notes because that requires permission to access the design.
