Preview designs with premium elements
When you use paid or premium elements in your designs, they’ll be watermarked (criss-cross patterns) until you buy them.
If you’re not yet sure about buying them, you can download a watermarked draft first to see how they’ll look like in your design.
Watermarked drafts aren’t available to Canva Pro, Canva Teams, Canva Education, and Canva for Nonprofits. They can use premium elements for free.
Download a watermarked draft
- On the editor menu bar, click Share.
- Click Download.
- Select the file type you want to download your design in.
- If your design has multiple pages, tick the ones you want to download from the dropdown and click Done.
- Click Download and select the and choose Download a free watermarked draft.
- The file will be downloaded to your device’s assigned download folder. Otherwise, select where to save your design.
If you’re happy with how the premium elements look in your design, upgrade to Canva Pro or Canva Teams to remove the watermarks.
If you’re a teacher, student, or team member of a non-profit organization, you can apply for a free Canva Education or Canva for Nonprofits account to get unlimited access to premium elements.
