How to restore an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription

If you subscribed through Apple or Google but don’t see your premium features, follow these steps to restore your purchase.

For Apple App Store

If tapping Restore Purchases doesn’t work, try these steps:

  1. Make sure you’re logged in to the same Apple ID used for your Canva Pro purchase.
  2. Update the Canva app to the latest version.
  3. Restart your device, then try restoring purchases again.
  4. If it still doesn’t work, go to your device’s Settings, select your name, then select Subscriptions and check if Canva Pro is active.

For Google Play Store

When you re-subscribe to Canva through Google Play, Canva automatically grants your subscription in most cases, and you do not need to take any additional action in the Canva app.

Important details

  • Canva automatically assigns your subscription to the Canva account that was previously linked to your Google Play subscription.
  • Users can no longer choose a different brand during re-subscription.
  • In rare cases, Canva may assign the subscription to a different brand than you expected. If this happens, contact Support to request a refund.
  • If Canva cannot automatically tell which account to use, you will see a prompt in the app. Use it to restore or start your subscription.
  • The Restore Purchases button only works if you’re logged in to the Canva account where the subscription was originally made.

If your subscription does not apply automatically after re-subscribing through Google Play, follow the steps below to restore your purchase.

  1. Verify you’re logged in to the Google account that made the purchase.
  2. Open the Google Play app, then go to Payments and subscriptions, and tap Subscriptions to confirm your plan.
  3. Clear the Canva app cache, then reopen the app and tap Restore Purchases again.
  4. If the issue continues, reinstall the Canva app and try again.

Wait for the confirmation that your Canva subscription has been successfully restored.

If you still don’t have access, your subscription may be linked to a different Canva account. Please see Can’t use Pro features for further guidance
