Scrollables in Canva Docs

Canva Docs' Scrollables transform static documents into interactive experiences by introducing animations that play as you scroll. This feature enhances engagement by making content more dynamic and visually appealing.

Scrollable designs can be shared as a public view link or a website.

We're gradually rolling out this feature. If you don't have access yet, keep your app updated and stay tuned for updates.

Create a Scrollable Design from the Templates tab

From the homepage, select the
Templates tab.
In the
search bar, type Scrollable Design, then enter.
Choose from the existing templates or create a blank scrollable design.

Create a Scrollable Design from the editor

Open a Canva doc.
Besides the editor page, select
Quick actions or just type a forward slash (/) on your keyboard.
Select Scrollable Design.
Select
Create new scroll animation.
Choose from the existing templates or create your own design.
Once done, select Save.

From the editor side panel, go to the
Design tab.
Select a template under Docs with Scrollables.

Add a Scrollable Design from Quick Actions

Beside the editor page, select
Quick actions or just type forward slash (/) on your keyboard.
Select Scrollable Design.
Choose from the following options:
1. Create new scroll animation.
2. Search and select from existing designs.Note: When importing a design, only the first 20 pages are added. Also, some file types aren't supported. Please see the Limitations section below for more details.

Add a Scrollable Design from Scroll Settings

Currently, you can only enable scroll-driven transitions for banner designs.

From the editor side panel, go to the
Design tab.
Select a banner template.
Select the banner on your design.
In the floating toolbar, select Settings to open the scroll settings.
Toggle on the Scroll-driven transition.

Scrollables limitations


Doc type	Scrollables can only be added in a Canva Doc.
Unsupported Formats	Whiteboards, sheets, and docs cannot be added as Scrollable designs.
Aspect Ratio Differences	Scrollable designs may appear differently on web vs. mobile, as the background adapts to the design ratio.
Exported file	If exported as PDF, only the first page of the scrollable design will be included.
Videos added in scrollable designs	Any videos included in the design will be muted by default.
