I can't log in with SSO

If you’re experiencing SSO-related login issues, check the following login issues below and how to solve them. If the errors aren't SSO-related, learn what to do when you can’t log in to your Canva account.

Identity Provider (IdP) error - User not assigned to role for application

If you see an error in your Identity Provider (IdP), check the guides below to make sure you’re correctly assigned to the Canva app.

For other Identity Providers such as Duo Security, OneLogin, or Salesforce, please reach out to your internal IT team for help.

Error: “You don’t belong to a team.”

You don’t have the correct TeamId assignment in your identity provider, so you’re not part of a team in your organization. Check the TeamId configuration guides below for help.

For other Identity Providers such as Duo Security, OneLogin, or Salesforce, please reach out to your internal IT team for help.

Error: SSO login doesn't redirect to the identity provider

If you're not being redirected to your Identity Provider after entering your company email address on canva.com, try to log in via the Canva App on your Identity Provider. If you still can’t log in, please contact us.

Error: Login unavailable - Access to account via Single Sign On (SSO) is restricted to members of the team

Just-in-Time provisioning is disabled, so new accounts can’t be added to your organization, even through email invitations.

To join the organization, you'll need to contact your internal IT team to enable JIT provisioning or request to be SCIM provisioned into your Canva organization.

Still can’t log in with SSO?

If you’ve tried the steps above and still can’t log in using single sign-on (SSO), check with your IT admin first as they can likely help you regain access.

If your IT admin is unable to help, use our account recovery form form to request access to your account.

We will do our best to help, though we may need to take extra steps to ensure your account remains safe and secure.
