Scheduled post didn’t publish

My scheduled post didn’t publish

What can cause this

  • The connection to the social media platform has expired.
  • You need to allow Canva to post and manage content for you.
  • The social media platform doesn't support the post you scheduled.

Note: Available app features, supported integrations, permissions, and connection experiences may vary between apps and change over time as Canva and connected platforms update their services.

What to do

If the connection has expired

Reconnect your social media profile to Canva by rescheduling the failed post.

  1. From the notification email, select the link to the post that failed to publish.
  2. From the homepage, select
    Share, then select the
    More icon.
  3. On the search bar, type “schedule,” and select Schedule from the results.
  4. From the calendar, select the date and time you want to publish the post.
  5. Select Schedule to…, and choose the social media platform that you want to post to.
  6. When asked, log in to the social media account you want to use again to refresh its connection to Canva.

If Canva doesn't have enough permissions

  1. Check your social media account's app permission settings.
  2. Make sure Canva is authorized to post and manage content for you.

If the file type is unsupported

If your scheduled post didn’t publish, we’ll email you why it failed and how it can be fixed.
