Activate Brand Assist to ensure on-brand designs
Keep your designs on-brand effortlessly with Brand Assist. It provides real-time suggestions to ensure your team’s work aligns with your brand’s standards. Whether it’s Colors, Fonts, Logos, or Photos, Brand Assist checks these critical areas to maintain consistency.
Brand Assist doesn’t support Canva Docs or Sheets. If a design includes only these page types, the panel won’t be available. In a multi-design, an error message will indicate that only supported page types can be checked.
Brand Assist is available for Teams and Enterprise plans. If you’re on a different plan, consider upgrading to unlock this feature.
Activate Brand Assist to your team
- From the homepage side panel, select Brand.
- Select the dropdown beside your Brand Kit name.
- Select the Brand Controls tab. Admins and brand designers can turn on or off the rules that guide members in staying on-brand.
- Once Brand Assist is enabled, members can start designing with the rules applied, ensuring all visuals align with your brand.
If Brand Assist isn’t visible in the Brand tab, kindly reach out to your brand admin to have it activated in Brand Controls. If Auto-fix isn’t working as expected, check that your Brand Kit is fully set up with Logos, Fonts, and a wide range of Colors.
A well-rounded Brand Kit with detailed elements like Colors, Fonts, and Logos ensures Brand Assist works effectively.

Brand Assist highlights issues across five key categories to keep your designs on-brand. Here’s what it looks out for and how you can resolve them:
Colors
- Non-brand colors will prompt a suggestion to replace them with approved colors from your Brand Kit.
Fonts
- Fonts not included in your Brand Kit will suggest switching to approved ones for a cohesive look
Logos
- Rotation & Orientation: Logos that are rotated or flipped will prompt a reset to their original position.
- Transparency & Cropping: Adjust logos with reduced transparency or cropped dimensions to restore their clarity.
- Borders, Effects & Framing: Suggestions will guide you to remove added borders, filters, or frames that alter the logo’s intended appearance.
Photos
- Adjust photos with any adjustments, such as brightness or saturation changes, to keep them polished.
- Remove filters or effects applied to photos to maintain consistency with brand standards.
Icons
- Reset brightness, saturation, or effects on icons to ensure they stay aligned with your design’s visual style.
Graphics
- Graphics with altered brightness, saturation, filters, or effects will prompt you to reset adjustments for consistency.
