Convert files without creating a design

You can convert files to different formats directly from Canva without creating a design. Upload your file, sign in or create a Canva account when prompted, and Canva converts your file so you can download, share, or continue editing it in Canva. 

1. Open one of Canva’s Converter pages.
2. Select Upload your file.
3. Choose the file you want to convert from your device.
4. Sign in or create a Canva account when prompted.
5. Wait while Canva converts your file.
6. Choose one of the available actions:

• Download to save the converted file to your device
• Share to send the converted file to others.
• Edit in Canva to continue editing the converted file in the Canva editor.

If you select Edit in Canva, the converted file opens in the Canva editor in a new browser tab.

• You must sign in or create a Canva account before the conversion is processed. 
• Selecting Edit in Canva opens the Canva editor in a new browser tab. 
• Some conversions may have expected limitations depending on the source file. For example, PDF conversions may substitute fonts when the original fonts aren't available.
