Import Figma files
Import Figma files
You can bring your Figma designs into Canva. The recommended option is the Figma to Canva app, which imports many elements as editable content. You can also import content manually by exporting from Figma or FigJam and uploading the files to Canva.
You can use the Figma to Canva app to convert your Figma designs into editable Canva files. This allows you to edit text, shapes, frames, and images directly in Canva without rebuilding designs from scratch.
The Figma to Canva app is free to use and developed by PixelTinkers, a third-party developer. To learn more about how PixelTinkers handles data, see their Privacy Policy.

Important: Pairing codes are valid for 24 hours. After that, they expire, and you’ll need to generate a new code from the Figma plugin.
What to expect when importing
The Figma to Canva app aims for editability over pixel-perfect fidelity. Some elements may import differently than they appear in Figma.
- Some complex elements may import as images (not editable) to preserve their appearance.
- Font matching may be required because Figma and Canva have different font libraries.
For more detailed compatibility information and the latest updates from PixelTinkers, see the Figma to Canva What to Expect page.
