Canva Teams, Canva Business, and Canva Enterprise roles and access

Whether you're working in a small team or managing a large organisation, Canva offers flexible roles and permissions that define what each person can access and manage, supporting brand consistency, content security, and smooth collaboration. Here’s what each role can do:

Org-level roles

  • Organisation admin - Oversees all teams, users, and settings across an entire organisation; manages roles, integrations, and security.
  • Organisation brand designer - Creates and manages Brand Kits and Brand Templates across any team within an organisation; may have publishing and scheduling permissions. Can share Brand Kits and Brand Templates with all teams within an organisation. Can see usage reports across all teams.

Team-level roles

  • Team owner - Creates the team and has full control over settings, members, and deletion.
  • Team admin - Manages team-level members, content, and permissions, including publishing settings and design approvals. Can also manage Brand Kits, Brand Templates, and Brand Controls.
  • Team brand designer - Creates and manages Brand Kits and Brand Templates across the team; may have publishing and scheduling permissions. Can access Brand Template usage reports.
  • Member - Can collaborate on shared content and create designs, but has limited access to team settings or management.

Canva Teams and Canva Business

For individuals and growing teams, Canva Teams and Canva Business allow users to create faster, market smarter, and collaborate better using flexible roles and design controls.

Canva Teams is no longer available for new sign-ups or upgrades. The information related to Teams on this page only applies to existing Canva Teams subscribers.
