How Canva and Wonderopolis are Transforming Educational Content

Here's how students can demonstrate their learning on Canva using Wonderopolis’ Wonders of the Day:

1. Visit Wonderopolis.org⁠(opens in a new tab or window) to see the “Wonder of the Day” or explore by most recent, most popular or by subject area.
2. Each Wonder (e.g. “Why Do Snakes Shed Their Skin?”) comes with a reading passage, a comprehension quiz, wonder words, a discussion board, and “Try It Out” extension activities.
3. For every Wonder, teachers can prompt students to demonstrate their understanding through visual representation.
4. Open Canva for Education⁠(opens in a new tab or window) and assign students a ready-to-use Wonderopolis Template⁠(opens in a new tab or window) such as an infographic, graphic organizer (e.g. venn diagram, pro/con chart, K-W-L chart) poster, comic strip, postcard, social media template, or drawing template.
5. Encourage students to submit and share with others. If you prefer, groups of students can even collaborate on a design in real-time!

• Postcard⁠(opens in a new tab or window) - imagine you’re mailing a postcard from the distant location featured in the Wonder of the Day. What message would you send home about your experience?
