What is a T chart?
T charts are used to compare two facets of a given topic by listing details about it in two separate columns. The topic can be anything at all – an idea, a proposal, or something that you’re writing or researching. Students, teachers, and professionals alike can use a T-chart to compare pros and cons, advantages and disadvantages, or facts and opinions.
Why use T charts?
T-charts can be used as a simple graphic organizer where your information is put together side by side. Using this, you can quickly draw connections between two different details, as well as find any differences and similarities between them. This also makes it easier for your audience to digest your information when you’re presenting.
By listing points side by side like this, it gives you and your readers a quick, at-a-glance overview of the facts being presented and helps to make decisions or arrive at conclusions quicker and easier.
